Context

RLabsU / DLab is an RLabs learning and development ecosystem that empowers previously disadvantaged communities with the digital, entrepreneurial and life skills needed to pursue economic opportunities, personal growth and meaningful participation in the economy.

Mishqah's role

I played a key role in the development of RLabsU / DLab over several years, contributing to the design of digital learning and skills-development programmes focused on technology, entrepreneurship, innovation and future-of-work opportunities. As a team member, I conducted on-the-job training for interns, supporting their practical development and workplace readiness.

I later progressed to Courseware Development Team Lead for two years, overseeing courseware development and creating facilitator training courseware to equip facilitators with the knowledge, tools and methodologies needed to effectively deliver RLabs programmes. My work combined learning and development, instructional content design, mentoring and team leadership.

Evidence & why it matters

RLabsU / DLab, also known as RLabs Academy, was a key programme within RLabs' learning and development portfolio, contributing to the organisation's reach across South Africa and internationally and forming part of the initiatives that have collectively reached 2.5M+ people globally through skills, training and economic empowerment.
