Context
The Sanlam BLS Social Entrepreneurship Academy was a community-based programme designed to equip community leaders and learners to identify and address nutrition-related challenges within their schools and communities, using social entrepreneurship to develop practical, sustainable solutions.
Mishqah's role
I played an integral role in the programme's end-to-end learning experience design, contributing to research, curriculum and learning-content development and the visual design of programme playbooks. I conducted Train-the-Trainer workshops, using an immersive participant experience to prepare community leaders to confidently facilitate the programme themselves.
Additionally, I conducted and supported Design Thinking workshops with primary school learners, focusing on nutritional challenges within their school and community.
Evidence & why it matters
I contributed to building the capacity of community leaders and learners to address local nutrition challenges through social entrepreneurship and Design Thinking, equipping community leaders to extend the learning into their own communities and enabling learners to engage with real challenges to develop potential solutions.
